“It's been really difficult staying here in terms of dealing with the staff and management. The staff have no sense of hospitality whatsoever and the building is not well maintained. Clearly they are just going through the motions and do not care about guest comfort. The kitchen floor (and all floors) is always dirty, for example. The staff once asked me to move when I was cooking so that they could sweep despite their daily "cleaning" never actually resulting in the kitchen floor being properly mopped and cleaned. They also seem to spend a lot of time polishing the fridge despite the obviously more pressing issues. Once the staff ignored me (as usual) when I was in the kitchen and then sent me a picture of my dirty dishes in the sink when I went downstairs briefly to use the bathroom. Another time he sent me a picture of the fan that I once left on inadvertently. Do they care about the electricity so much that they're willing to harass their guests? I can't figure it out to be honest. But when i left my yogurt and fruit on the counter inadvertently yesterday they didn't say anything - just let it rot until today when I found it again this morning, despite them obviously having the area under surveillance. They also do not effectively remind other guests to keep the countertops clean (or clean it themselves when it is dirty ). Many times we have found the counter wet and dirty. They also advertise laundry and cleaning but make you beg them to clean the room each time (there is no formal schedule ). When you remind them they may then show up unannounced. They then do a bare bones cleaning and do not even empty the trash. They also do not monitor the door for food deliveries (as is standard at other boarding houses ), nor do they monitor the door for guests being stuck outside in the rain (despite the key card being difficult to operate ). The wifi is unreliable and it's impossible to talk to them and get a straight answer about the timeline for this or other things (water cooler, air conditioner, etc) being tepaired. The guards here love to go around singing and socializing with their friends and play games but they ignore the basic needs of their guests and seem to hold them in contempt. Perhaps they are understaffed but this would not be such a concern if they were transparent and honest. The management also needs to increase the staffing and maintenance. Also do not wash your clothes here if you care about them not coming back stained as happens frequently. In short the environment here is toxic and not worth it under any circumstances if you care about such things.”
