“I had an unfortunate experience regarding a lost item after my stay. After checking out, I realized that I had left a personal belonging at the hotel. When I contacted the phone number listed online, I found that it was a general RedDoorz customer service number rather than a direct hotel contact. As a result, communication was slower and I was unable to immediately coordinate with the hotel staff. At that point, I was already in another city, but I made the effort to return to Denpasar to retrieve my item. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was surprised to learn that my belonging had been taken home by one of the staff members instead of being kept at the property. What concerns me most is the apparent lack of a proper lost-and-found system. Guests should reasonably expect lost items to be stored securely at the reception or in a designated lost-and-found area until they can be collected. Unfortunately, because I had other travel commitments and needed to leave the city again, I was unable to meet the staff member and retrieve my item. I would like to suggest two improvements. First, please establish a proper lost-and-found procedure so that all items left behind by guests are kept securely at the hotel rather than being taken off-site by individual staff members. Second, please provide a direct contact number for the hotel reception instead of routing guests through a general RedDoorz hotline. Direct communication with the reception would significantly improve response times and help resolve issues more efficiently. I hope these improvements can be implemented to provide a better experience for future guests.”
